Climate changes, environmental impact, and finite natural resources urged scientists to research and find innovative sustainable technical solutions. Despite the negative impact of human activities on the environment, a rise in global concern for climate change has led to the development of sustainable technologies. The crucial aim is to help solve some of the most significant problems that we face as a society through a shift towards more sustainable and renewable energy sources, besides better management of the wastes. IntechOpen has recognized the need to raise awareness and enable scientists to share their latest research in renewable energy and environmental technology. That led to the launch of the new Open Science Green Energy and Environmental Technology Journal that will cover the latest advancements in these researches fields. I invite you to submit your research and check out the latest findings. Yours, Prof. Dr. Eduardo Jacob-Lopes Federal University of Santa Maria, Brazil
